i’ve never done a single fucking thing to you. so why do you hate me with every bone in your body? we all just want one thing and that’s to fucking survive, so why do you take away my right? i hope you understand that i had no choice and that i’m begging you to help me. i can get by on my own, i just need your forgiveness and a place to call my home. how can you be so fucking selfish? every family line’s got to start from somewhere. just because yours started centuries ago, it doesn’t mean that you can shut the door on those who come after. so fuck you. you will never fucking understand my pain. you’ve got the easy job, you ancestors did the hard part for you, don’t forget. you will never fucking understand me. you have no idea what it was like back home for me. you’ll never know what its like to have war in the streets. you’ll never know what its like to feel forced to leave your home. everything’s been so easy for you compared to all the bullshit that i’ve had to go through. you don’t know the first thing about struggle. try living my life for just one day. no? that’s just what i thought, fuck you. you will never fucking understand my pain. you’ve got the easy job, you ancestors did the hard part for you, don’t forget. you will never fucking understand me. you think you know me, but your sick depiction of me leads you to believe that i’ve only here to harm you and the one’s you love. you will never understand me. you will never understand me. you will never understand me.
2.
everything will be alt-right in the end. two headless horsemen ride through the night. others follow suit with no end in sight. leaders of the free world? yeah fucking right, the end is nigh. the end has only just begun, no one wants what’s at the end of the tunnel. everything will be alt-right in the end. tell me i’m wrong. tell me this will all be over soon. say it ain’t so. everything will be alt-right in the end.
3.
you ever just been minding your own business, walking in some park after dark, then someone runs up on you and they say ‘you have the right to remain silent. anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. you have the right to remain silent. if you can’t afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you at government expense’? the government is my expense. get your fucking hands off me, you don’t need to see my I.D. i’ve got the feeling they don’t give a fuck. ‘to protect and serve’, we’re shit out of luck, shit out of luck. ‘am i being detained? i refuse to speak to you without a lawyer present. why am i being arrested? do you have a warrant? no, then am i free to go? am i free to go?’ fuck off, you’re all just a bunch of cowards. you took an oath to keep the peace, but you’re causing conflict. no one trusts a fucking thing you say, give us one good reason. blue lives don’t matter because blue lives don’t exist. i’ve got the feeling they don’t give a fuck. ‘to protect and serve’ we’re shit out of luck, shit out of luck. know your rights. don’t let them take advantage of naïvety, know your rights. know your rights. no, don’t let them walk all over you like they’re kings, they’re our servants. know your rights. they disproportionately target low-income people of color. we can’t let that happen. know your rights. we have to stand up for our fellow brothers and sisters whenever we see this injustice. know your rights.

a big part of growing up is learning how to treat other people. unfortunately it seems you can still get by being an asshole. see, there’s a couple different methods of measuring human decency, one being by heart. its something everyone has, but not everyone knows how to use. its the very thing that enables us to feel any kind of love, empathy, or pain. and without it, we feel nothing, nothing, nothing. put your money where your heart is, but first you’ve got to find it. see, its hard for me to believe that none of these people in charge do it out of the goodness of their heart. i mean, someone’s got to benefit from their selfish agenda, just not the common man. put your money where your heart is, but first you’ve got to find it. everyone forgets things from time to time, be it people’s names, where your daddy was born, or how to close a fucking umbrella, but don’t forget that you’re not the all-seeing eye. its not that hard, have a little heart
5.
i’m disgusted by your hate, but you want us to be quiet. you’re fucking killers in the streets, but you do it under the guise of keeping us safe. there’s no checks and balances. we don’t even vote them in, the first time we meet them is when they murder our friends. their political agenda does not match those of the communities they serve. they don’t give a fuck how you feel, they just want power. whatever they deem important, they deem appropriate use of force, they pursue it and they do it, even death for a counterfeit twenty dollar bill. 8:46 ‘i can’t breathe’. a grown man screaming for his dead mother. ‘i can’t breathe’. impunity after you pull the trigger. judge, jury, and executioner. just because you fear for your life doesn’t mean they deserve to die by your hand. you try keeping us scared. you try leading us with fear. but we won’t have it, no we won’t have it. we’re not afraid of the dark anymore. regardless of how we act, you continue to oppress. so why should we sit back and take it? maybe its your time to meet your maker. when you see a dead horse you beat it. you kick it while its down, but now we’re taking off your crown. chaos in the streets is what we need just to get you to even gaze in our direction. you’re not expected to understand our point of view just off the news. we’re sick and we’re tired of explaining ourselves to you, just for you to not listen. we’ll say it louder so that you can’t miss it. justice, without it there will be not peace, abolish the racist police. we fight, over 20 million strong, for their lives, over 1,000 killed every year. this has got to stop.

we’re stuck at the bottom, while you tear the foundation apart. you float on us. your success was never my success, but you blame your failures on me. i won’t take the heat anymore. its about time you bite the bullet. open your mouth wide, don’t say a word and bite the fucking curb. we’re drowning, but there’s no lifeboats. you sold them off to make a profit, there’s no one to help but yourself. you’d rather float on us than go down with the ship. we’re left to pick up the pieces and clean up the shit. your success depends on how much we’re buried in it. the water’s rising, there’s no more lifelines. with the weight of the world on our shoulders, its hard to keep our heads high. at the bottom of the hill, keep our heads high, keep our heads high. our success is never celebrated, you see our hard work and take advantage. you don’t deserve even a piece of everything you stole from us. and you dare to talk about our ‘entitlements’? you’re trying to take them, you steal everything. how much more do you need? we’re drowning, but there’s no lifeboats. you sold them off to make a profit, there’s no one to help but yourself. you’d rather float on us than go down with the ship. the captain should always go down with the ship. you’d rather float on us.
7.
gun in your hands, what’s your demand? ‘go back to normal.’ nothing about the way we lived before was normal. the fact that people are putting the economy over their own personal health should be a sign of that. gun to my head, one shot i’m dead. just fucking kill me. i’d rather die than live in a world where you get your way. you see, there’s no easy path forward, but that doesn’t mean that we should be turning around. that ship has sailed, and it’s never coming back. so why should we? history’s doomed to repeat itself anyway, eventually. gun to my head, one shot i’m dead. just fucking kill me. i’d rather die than live in a world where you get your way. ‘everybody panic. this is not a test, we are not adept at making changes. live free or die - that’s the one code of life that i live by. don’t inconvenience me and i won’t have to take your life, it’s easy. bow down to our king. he feeds us with the anger that we need, that we need.’ no, you’re fighting on the wrong team, you’re fighting on the ground for the elites. we should be demanding full financial security, or else history repeats. gun to my head, one shot i’m dead. just fucking kill me. i’d rather die than live in a world where you get your way. gun to my head, one shot i’m dead. just fucking kill me.

the silence of whispering pines brought us to the end of the line, where if i stay asleep, i dare not peek. slit my fucking throat i don’t deserve to speak. i cannot, will not shake their hands. i ball my fist and take a stand. throw it high up in the sky, or punch them in their fucking eye. i'm not righteous, i'm an emotional wreck with no common sense, but i fight this. now meet me in the middle. i can, i will, i'll shake their hand. we might disagree but in the end their lack of exposure to anything different led them to grow up just being a bigot. down the rabbit hole they go, the echo chamber only stunts their growth. everyone knows that violence met with more violence leads to nothing productive. it proceeds with more violence, more violence, and more. this cycle’s got to stop, but so does right wing terror. the silence of whispering pines brought us to the end of the line, where if i stay asleep, i dare not peek. slit my fucking throat, i don’t deserve to speak. i'm tired from these restless nights, i could start a fight. i clench my fists and grind my teeth dreaming of a day with peace. the silence of whispering pines brought us to the end of the line, where if i stay asleep, i dare not peek. slit my fucking throat, i don’t deserve to speak. violence breeds more violence, but someone’s going to catch these hands if they don’t stop talking in their sleep. a woke world is one that we can only dream. i'm no expert, don’t come to me for answers, but communication is the only way forward. communication is the only way. we've got to talk, we’ve got to get down to the core of what it is that each other really wants. i'd rather die than live in a world where only you get your way. the silence of whispering pines brought us to the end of the line, where if i stay asleep, i dare not peek. slit my fucking throat, i don’t deserve to speak.
